Is there such a thing as a PERFECT Leader?

By 25 de October de 2022February 28th, 2023No Comments

There is no formula when we talk about leadership.

But some ingredients will make a big difference in the day to day leadership of a team.

Respect, autonomy, support, delegation, trust and good communication are just a few basic elements that shall be part of a relationship between leaders and team members.

It is not coherent to expect an heroic leader, a perfect one. That will never lose control…
that supports beyond the needs, is an extremely good communicator and performs above the expected results.

Perfect leader does not exist.

Instead of expecting a perfect leadership, it would be more efficient to focus in practicing in a good and consistent way the basic elements of any relationship between leaders and members, specially: RESPECT and TRUST.

When this relationship (leader and team) is based on respect and trust, a lot more comes as a bonus: it is easier to delegate, easier to give autonomy, the support will be demanded when really necessary… and the full team will function better.

The good leadership will score many goals. But will (unavoidably) fail, sometimes.

The key point is that: a good leadership creates the appropriate environment to extract the best from each member and deliver the business results.
